Music as remembrance, expression and submission
For some people, music is entertainment. For others, it is a profession or a way of expressing emotion. For Berk Köksal, music carries a deeper meaning. It is a language capable of touching the heart, encouraging reflection and inviting people to remember the ONE GOD.
His experience as a composer, guitarist, vocalist, songwriter, arranger, music producer and software engineer gradually came together within a single artistic vision.
That vision became Neo-Sacred Zikr: an original sacred music universe in which zikr, symphonic orchestration, sacred choirs, progressive rock, ambient sound design and modern production techniques meet around the purpose of glorifying GOD.
II · The Beginning
Every artistic journey begins with a quiet first step.
Berk Köksal's musical journey did not begin with major stages or completed albums. It developed through curiosity, listening, experimentation and the desire to understand how music was created. His relationship with the guitar became an important turning point, opening the way toward melody, harmony and composition.
Over time, playing existing music was no longer enough. He wanted to write his own works, create arrangements, record ideas and gradually build an independent musical language. This desire became the foundation of the production approach he would later develop.
III · The Guitar Years
The guitar became a voice
Rock and metal played an important role in Berk Köksal's musical development. The electric guitar became more than an instrument; it became a means of expression and a discipline that demanded patience, precision and continuous improvement.
By listening to and studying different musical traditions, he expanded his understanding of harmony, composition and arrangement. The technical side of the guitar was important, but its ability to carry emotion remained equally central.
The neoclassical lines, progressive structures and expressive guitar passages heard in his later works are the natural result of this long musical journey.
IV · The Home Studio
From musical ideas to finished records
The desire to create music gradually expanded beyond performing an instrument. Berk Köksal wanted to record his own work, construct arrangements, build orchestral layers, mix every element and complete the final mastering process himself.
His home studio became more than a room filled with instruments and technology. It became a creative environment where ideas could grow into compositions and compositions could become complete albums.

Music and technology are often treated as separate disciplines. For Berk Köksal, they are two languages that continually support and strengthen one another.
His Computer Science education and software engineering experience influenced not only his professional career, but also his approach to music production. Analytical thinking, systematic planning and problem-solving became important parts of his creative workflow.
Digital audio technologies, software development, data analysis, visual design and contemporary production tools now operate together within the same independent production system.

How could sacred music speak to the people of the modern age through contemporary sound?
Neo-Sacred Zikr emerged as Berk Köksal's answer to that question. It brings the spiritual essence of zikr together with symphonic orchestration, sacred choral traditions, progressive rock, ambient atmospheres, neoclassical structures, rap vocals, children's choirs and modern production techniques.
Genres are not treated as destinations. They are tools serving the same center: remembering GOD, glorifying GOD and inviting the listener toward contemplation, peace and submission.

In addition to music, Berk Köksal has devoted many years to QUR'AN research and software development. His work in this area grew from a personal commitment to examining the sacred text directly, comparing information and encouraging thoughtful investigation.
Kuranteyit was developed as a digital research environment where verses, concepts, notes, translations and relationships between passages could be studied in a more systematic way.
For him, software and music ultimately serve a related purpose: encouraging people to reflect, seek knowledge and engage directly with the message of GOD.
