ZIKR SYMPHONIC METAL opens a new chapter within Berk Köksal’s Neo-Sacred Zikr universe. Across nineteen interconnected works, the album is built around a single sacred utterance: HÛ. Rather than multiplying words, the music explores how one sound can carry different spiritual states — breath, mercy, surrender, awakening, devotion, ascension, majesty, unity, eternity and return. The musical journey repeatedly moves from intimacy toward immensity. A fragile female voice, breath, silence, sacred choir, strings and organ gradually expand into brass, timpani, bass, drums, distorted guitars and virtuosic neoclassical solos. The classical world does not disappear when the metal enters; choir, orchestra, organ and guitars continue together as parts of the same act of remembrance. Metal is not used here as an expression of anger. Its weight and power represent divine majesty and the overwhelming scale of creation. The choir is not decoration, the orchestra is not a background layer, and the guitar is not merely a vehicle for virtuosity. Every musical element serves the same center: zikr. The nineteen pieces are conceived not simply as separate songs, but as movements in a single spiritual cycle. The Breath begins with the most intimate human element, while the later works expand through surrender, evidence, instinct, awakening, the path, devotion, ascension, divine majesty, the throne, infinity, universal unity and eternity. Miracle & Return closes the journey by returning to the point from which it began, now transformed by everything that came before. The central idea of ZIKR SYMPHONIC METAL is simple: the utterance does not change, but the world of sound around it does. One breath becomes a choir; the choir becomes an orchestra; the orchestra becomes symphonic metal; and all of them finally return to HÛ.
